1. Who we are

UK SME Biz Consultants is a trading name of Muhammad Imran Khan, 7 Walton Avenue, New Malden KT3 6DQ, United Kingdom. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact us at admin@uksmebizconsultants.co.uk.

2. What we do

We introduce businesses to our partners: funding providers (merchant cash advance) in the UK, Ireland and several European countries, and suppliers of business electricity, gas, telecoms and broadband in the UK and Ireland. Applications are made on our partners’ websites or reseller portals. We are not a lender or supplier.

3. The personal data we collect

  • Contact details: your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number.
  • Business details: business name and address, country, and monthly card turnover.
  • Director details: the name of the contact person or director. Where a partner needs it for your application, we may also ask for home addresses for the last 3 years and merchant account statements, which we ask you to send only through the secure route we provide.
  • Your messages to us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
  • Technical data such as your IP address, which our web host logs when you visit this site.

4. How and why we use your data

  • To reply to your enquiry and to take steps you ask for before any contract, which is our lawful basis of contract-related steps.
  • To refer you to, and pass your details to, the partner you choose. We do this with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To keep business records and meet legal obligations, such as tax and accounting rules.
  • To run and secure our business and website, on the basis of our legitimate interests.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.

5. Who we share it with

  • Our partners: funding providers, reseller portal operators, and energy, telecoms and broadband suppliers. Once you apply with a partner, they are responsible for your data under their own privacy notice.
  • Service providers that help us run the business, such as our web host (Namecheap), email provider and messaging services such as WhatsApp.
  • Professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it.

6. Transfers outside the UK

Some partners and providers are in the European Economic Area or elsewhere, such as the United States. Where data leaves the UK, we rely on adequacy decisions or other safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.

7. How long we keep your data

If you do not go ahead, we keep your enquiry for up to 12 months and then delete it. If you become a customer, we keep our records for up to 6 years. Statements and addresses are kept only as long as needed for your application and are then deleted.

8. Your rights

Under UK GDPR, and EU GDPR if you are in the EU or EEA, you can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to our use of it, or give you a copy in a portable format. You can withdraw consent at any time. Email us to use these rights. We reply within one month.

9. Cookies and third-party content

This site does not set its own cookies and does not use analytics at the time of writing. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts, so your IP address is sent to Google when you visit. Links to WhatsApp open that service, which has its own privacy policy. If we add analytics or other cookies, we will update this page and ask for consent where required.

10. Security

The site uses HTTPS. Please do not send bank statements or identity documents by ordinary email. We will give you a secure route when we need them.

11. Complaints and changes

If you are unhappy with how we use your data, please contact us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113, or to your local data protection authority if you are in the EU or EEA. We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
